It's back to school for a lot of teachers and students this week and next week. Showers and a few thunderstorms today as an upper level low pressure system tracks across the area. Rain amounts are highest for parts of southeast Nebraska and should range from 0.25" to 1.25" and lower in northeast Nebraska with most amounts trace-0.25". In southwest Iowa 0.1" to 0.5" is expected. It will be cooler with highs in the 70s to lower 80s. Another storm system will bring more scattered showers and thunderstorms to eastern Nebraska and western Iowa Wednesday night through Thursday night.
